It is easy to feel overwhelmed when looking at a calendar full of dates, especially if you worry that you aren’t “advanced” enough to attend a major fiber festival or that you will miss out on the best yarn sales. The truth is, crochet events are about community, inspiration, and finding your next favorite yarn—not passing a technical exam. Whether you are a beginner looking for a supportive environment or an expert seeking inspiration, these gatherings are designed to welcome you. Here is your guide to the 2025 crochet and fiber events across the US and the world.
Maker Notes
Planning your year around fiber festivals is one of the best ways to stay motivated in crochet. These events offer more than just shopping; they provide a chance to learn new techniques from designers, connect with local makers, and discover unique yarns you might not find in big-box stores. Many of these events, like the Rose City Yarn Crawl or the PNW Yarn Crawl, are designed to get you exploring different local yarn shops, making it a perfect low-pressure way to meet other crocheters in your area. Even if you can only attend one event this year, the inspiration gained can fuel your projects for months.
